A new Dog Park for the South

Hundreds of local dog owners have had a bone to pick with me about the need for a new dog park in the South. I have been listening to you and the Labor Government has provided a grant of $200,000 so we will finally have our own dog park!

The location has been considered by council and the proposal is for the dog park to be at Quarry Park, Seaford – near the Seaford Recreation Centre.

The proposed Seaford Dog Park will mean:

  • Our four-legged friends will finally have a fenced-off, off-leash local dog park,
  • You won’t need to travel 45 minutes return to Flagstaff Hill,
  • It will mean happier, healthier dogs and hopefully happier owners too!

The council held a community meeting and I circulated a consultation survey which attracted nearly 200 responses to the council's proposed site, layout and facilities for the dog park.

Onkaparinga council is now considering the community feedback. If you have any further queries, concerns or simply wish to be kept in the loop please get in touch with me by clicking here.
